Subaru leads yet another satisfaction survey

May 2, 2007

Auto Express conducted its ‘Driver Power 2007′ reliability and satisfaction survey and the 2001-2002 Impreza has been voted number one by owners of the Subaru car. The entire Subaru range comes in sixth place with 93.1% of owners saying they’d buy another Subaru. The survey had 30000 respondents.

“This is excellent news especially as it comes hard on the heels of Subaru being voted the ‘Best Franchise Opportunity’ by the Institute Of Transport Management,” said Executive Director, Sales and Marketing, Lawrence Good.

I had the worst buying experience that I have ever had at Bob Dunn Subaru in Greensboro, N.C. From the time I received my car until the present. The sale was a very good experience, but after the survey was done and messed up by the folks at Subaru my wife and I have been treated like second class folks by both the the sales man that sold me the 2010 Subaru Legacy 2.5i premium and the sales manager at Bob Dunn Jaguar-Subaru. We were given a price on mud flaps of $106.25. The cost of the part minus the installation labor charges. The part that was received was mislabeled and the wrong one. They had to order the part again and would let us know when it came in. Over three weeks went by and my wife called and left messages for the salesman to call. No calls were returned. My wife called again and talked to the salesman and was told that the part had been there for sometime. Made an appointment for the part to be installed. The bill came to $153.20. My wife asked the salesman if he could straighten this out, he replied “why should I help you after you gave me a bad score”. My wife explained that she thought she had given him the best marks on the survey, because he had deserved the best rating. He was very knowledgeable and very honest at first. I went to Bob Dunn Subaru that same day to find out what was the matter. I was told by the sales manager that a grade of (77) was like a D-, not very good. I told him that we had done the survey with only good marks. He said that a new survey could be sent out, and I told him to do that and we would fill it out again. But I was not happy with the price of the mud flaps and that if the would return my money and to remove the mud flaps, that is all I asked for. He said he would refund the price of labor on the mud flaps if that would make me happy. I said no, remove the mud flaps as I would not be doing business with this company again. He accused me of threating the company and of disrespect to him. He then told me that he would return my money, all of it and I could keep the mud flaps. I told him this was not what I wanted, just remove the flaps. He refunded my money but refused to remove the flaps. “Do we still live in a county where the customer is always right or are we at the mercy fo dealers who know that they are the one’s who have the products that we as a nation have to have? Is there no pride in what we do for a living and is there no one at the top that we can depend on to ensure that the people who represent them that we all get a fare deal? Or are the Boy’z at the top just to busy counting their money?
A customer who is just fed up!
